Obituary of Marko Ferfolja

FERFOLJA, Marko Peacefully at home on Thursday, March 17, 2016, Marko passed away in his 85th year. Marko was predeceased by his beloved wife Terezija (Theresa) of 49 years, daughter Julie, and son Thomas. Son of the late Mihaela Ferfolja. Loving father to Carol (Robert) Fields and John Ferfolja. Dear friend to Mary Janicek. Cherished grandfather to James (Jessica), Michael, Theresa, Paul, great-grandfather to Nathan, and appreciated master to his feline companion “Muc.” Marko was very proud of his Slovenian heritage and was one of the original committee members involved in the building of St. Gregory the Great Slovenian Church and hall. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with parish prayers at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Church on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 600 Spring Garden Road, Burlington.
