Obituary of Merridy Bedford

BEDFORD, Merridy It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Merridy surrounded by family at the Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in her 82nd year. Merridy will be sadly missed and forever cherished by her children Phillip Bedford, Arlene Pancoast, Keith Bedford, and David Bedford (Wanda). Precious and beloved grandmother “Gram” of Keith, Jewli, Guy, Ashley, Jolene, Stacey, Carly, and step-grandmother of Crystal, Rick, and the late Katie. Great-grandmother to Harper and Isla. Loving wife of the late David Bedford (1960) and Walter Bedford (2005). Merridy is predeceased by her parents Anna and Leo Grightmire and her brother Leo (Molly) Grightmire. Special sister-in-law of the late Stanley (Dorothy) Bedford, late Ruth (Ted) Hunter, and the late Lillian (Bill) Tobicoe, Eva (Jim) Mathieson, Joan (the late Lou) Babin, and Grace (Frank) Baswick. Much loved aunt to many nieces and nephews. A private family service will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
