I first met Dianne at what became our favourite meeting place in Hamilton: Earl's Grill. So often we'd stay up late, enjoying each other's company, exchange stories and share laughter. Back then Dianne was so full of life, fun-loving, and considerate of others. It's no wonder she had a full life and was always young at heart. Dianne was definitely one of the sweetest, gentlest and warm-hearted people I have ever known. She had a real love for family and zest for life. Now in heaven, she will meet up with her loved ones and live eternal life. I hope one day she will meet me at the Gate and embrace me with open arms and that big, beautiful smile! Every time Dianne suffered or shed a tear, it did not fall on deaf ears; every time Dianne rejoiced and celebrated life, it was not in vain; every time Dianne reached out to others, especially those in need, it was not unnoticed; and every time Dianne was mesmerized by creation and animals, it was not without love. Dianne's reward begins NOW! I am so thankful that I was able to visit with you in March. You brought me, and continue to bring me, inexpressible joy. Thank you for happy memories and loving friendship, Dianne. I miss you already, dear friend. I spoke with Kelvin in Umoja (Nairobi, Kenya) yesterday, the day you passed from this life into eternal life. He promised that he will continue to pray for you, think of you, and miss you. Most of all, he is deeply grateful for you in his life, only now, that friendship is extended to heaven, where we all want to be. Lilian, too, loves you and remembers the kindness of your heart to her. We all love you so much for being YOU. Your life has profound meaning and touched so many of our lives! If not for Dianne, I would never have met Louie, "Babu" (Grandpa) to Kelvin, friend to the children in Kenya, and my dear friend. Kelvin and I promise to remain close to Louie in her absence. Finally, if it wasn't for Dianne and the friendship that ensued in the 1980s, I might never have met Nikki, her beloved daughter, who is also an absolutely wonderful, loving and trusted friend, and like a sister to me. There really are no words to describe the incredible miracle of how Dianne and Nikki found me years later in the Northwest Territories, only to continue where we left off so many years ago. I feel only gratitude and joy! May our friendship continue well after this life into the next... SWAHILI: Asante sana, Louie na Dianne, kwa wote umekuwa kwetu na ametupa. Kelvin anaishi kwa matumaini ya muda mrefu, furaha na afya maisha kwa sababu ya wewe. TRANSLATION: Thank you so much, Louie and Dianne, for all you have been to us and given us. Kelvin lives with the hope of a longer, happier and healthier life because of you.

We wish to express our sympathy on the loss of Dianne. She was a wonderful lady who we will remember always. One of my fond memories is of her dancing with my Mother at Kim & Adams wedding.
