So sorry to hear of the passing of George Koblyk. My memories go back to George's time at Mohawk College where he was the epitome of a great teacher and adult educator. Innovative, approachable and engaging, George was popular and respected by his students and colleagues. He and his courses were in such demand that any program faculty fortunate enough to have him scheduled for a particular term often thought they and their students had won the lottery. It was no surprise that George was one of the first recipients of the award for excellence in teaching. Our offices were across the hall from each other during those early days of Mohawk's existence, and I feel fortunate that our paths often crossed.
To George's family and friends, please accept my heartfelt condolences.

I was fortunate to be a student of Mr Koblyk. during his fi.rst year of teaching.
He was a very gentle man who was passionate about his work and truly cared about his students. Many years later I was to meet up with him again at numerous Lager Lectures. Some folks leave a lasting compassionate impression and he was one of them

My husband and I took Tai Chi classes with George. Although we never knew him outside these classes, we thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with him. Not only was George an excellent Tai Chi instructor, but he made our classes fun, interesting and challenging. George will always be remembered as a kind soul with a gentle, fun-loving personality.
With our sincere condolences.

TO THE KOBLYK FAMILY
We never knew George well or as a friend but we had the pleasure of meeting him at a few family functions at which we thoroughly enjoyed his lovely wit and wonderful sense of humour. We know he will be sorely missed and will always remain in the hearts of all his family and friends and all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
We are so sorry for your loss and our thoughts are with the family at this very difficult time.

Although it is more than 40 years since George was my teacher through nursing school I remember his enthusiastic, warm approach to his students and deep interest in the subject matter. His sparkling personality and humanity shone through.
My kind thoughts to all his family.
