So sorry to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful uncle to me and my sisters. He would make us laugh, feel loved and accepted and always welcomed. There was just a vibe that came from him that all was good. So many laughs playing cards with him, mom and aunt Alice. I remember too a really fun trip we took together to Algonquin park. The last time I saw him is when our mother passed. He said a wonderful prayer for her. I'm sorry we drifted away after. My condolences to Aunt Alice, Al, Kath, Rose and family. Another angel has returned to heaven

Uncle Ray , was more than an Uncle . He was the rock of his extended family. He was more like a Dad and a menton and we could talk to him about anything .All of his nieces/ nephews came from broken marriages. I loved how Uncle Ray showed up unexpectedly. Once he came to visit and he found me at the YCMA in Fredericton.......He remembered I took Jacob for swim lessons there. He also showed up at a time without knowledge when my brother was killed and mom was in a nursing home with Alzheimer's . He held me up . I would have never been able look after my brother's funerals and burial. Yet another time my brother met up with Uncle Ray on a very secluded and rural, back road . He stopped my brother to ask for direction to our place !!! He and Aunt Mary taught me to play cards . I use to cry everytime Uncle Ray left New Brunswick to to go home after a visit. He would dry my tears and say, " I am your favourite Uncle , but your only uncle too " and oooh how he would laugh.Loved having his nieces and nephew's around. I spoke to him before he went into the special care home. I am so happy I got to tell how much I loved him. I wish i could have got back to Grimby's before Alzheimer's robbed me of this man extraordinaire ........ I will say Rest now Uncle Ray. You are and forever remain my Favorite uncle . I am just sorry I can't be with you for your celebration of life. I can't walk and am unable to fly alone and this is just about breaking my broken heart in two . I will love you forever. Your memories will keep us going . We will carry you along <3 Much love to Alice, Al, Kathleen, and Rose and the extended families. You are in my thoughts and prayers and my heart hurts along with yours. Alice I love you and i hold you, your pain in my heart. I have cried and cried ..... Enjoy heaven with all your sibling Thank you for taking care of all us orphans as each of our parents went before you. You served us well, you served life well . I will look for the brightest star Thursday night and know that you got your halo. Kiss and hug Mamma and Billy for me ..... My dearest friend.Ray I call Papa.The joy you brought to my life in such a short time knowing you has inspired every bit of my heart to keep smiling and singing n dancing etc.in all that I do in my life n work everyday.You have been trully a blessing to me as well as so many around you.You had A God Bless you like a homer and a hug n smile to enlighten anyones soul.I had so much fun n love in my heart n so overjoyed to see you each day I visit.I trully will forever miss you but will always n forever cherish the memories of working with you n leaving you everyday feeling so much of happiness.Take care dear Angel in Heaven and Keep those spoons playing n your toes tapping.You were trully an Amazing Soul Papa Ray.R.I.P. and Loving thoughts n prayers to Al n Wendy and Alice Shannon And Leah.God Bless you all.Sherry-Lee.PSW
