My deepest condolences for your loss. Mike came to Thunder Bay for EUSA while I was employed at Thunder Bay Hydro some years ago and I had the pleasure to spend some time with him on Lake Superior salmon fishing one evening. We had some laughs and I sent him home with a small salmon. I later attended a week long course that he was putting on for EUSA for line clearing proficiency, I learned a lot from him.
He was a true professional and a great instructor. .

My sincere condolences to Diane and the family. I came to know Mike through work and very quickly he became a good friend. I will miss him but know his passion will live on in so many of us for the impact he made on us. I nicknamed Mike "Bulldog" and it always gave us a good laugh when I would start a sentence with "look here bulldog..." but seriously, he was the most gentle and kind person and had an enormous heart of generosity. I am grateful to have known his friendship and as he said to me... walk softly and carry a big stick.....

My sincere condolences to all of Mike's family. I started at E&USA about a year after Mike did. We shared the same passion for skiing and everytime I see him he would always talk about where he went skiing (out west at his sister's place or Blue Mtn) and where I went skiing on the weekend. He had lot of passion for the sports and of course for his family who he always took skiing with him. He was a very wonderful person. He always had a smile on his face.
