It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Earl Walker in his 89th year at Shalom Village on Friday, October 18, 2019, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Carol “Lynne” (nee Inglis) parents Elmer and May, brothers Bruce (Doreen) and Gary (Ann) and first wife Glenna (nee Young). He will be sadly missed by brother Wayne (Kathy), his children Randall, Laura and Jennifer grandchildren Emmitt and Jason Van Belle, and his many nieces and nephews. Earl worked as manager of advertising and sales for Firestone, director of advertising for General Tire International and retired as chair of graphic communications at George Brown College. He was actively involved in a variety of organizations throughout the years, including Stoney creek Men’s Club, Stoney Creek Horticultural Society, OHA, RBG, Bob Kemp Hospice, Crimestoppers, Stoney Creek Community Homes and Probus Club of Grimsby. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Special thank you to the staff at Shalom Village for their excellent care. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will occur at a later date. A Celebration of Life will take place at The Powerhouse Restaurant, 21 Jones St., Stoney Creek on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 12:30 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent at www.donaldvbrown.ca
