Terribly sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. Please accept my condolences on your loss and I wish the great memories of your parents will sustain you through this difficult time.
I remember your mom and dad attending the house parties we had and the New Years Eve dances held by the AI association. Those were great times and I would concur with my cousin Nigel that your dad was a dream dancer and he will definitely be missed by family , friends and our AI community.

Hello:
Saddened to read the announcement about the passing of Des. Ed & I are members of St. Paul's, Port Dover and we remember Des with great fondness. As an Anglican, you know we all sit in the same seats each Sunday, and Des always sat behind us. We always had a little chat before the service began. Des was such a warm and caring gentleman. Told us many stories about his beloved Florence and how much he missed her. We remember listening to Des sing hymns (solo) often during the summer months at our services. He had a wonderful voice and took such pleasure in singing for all of us.
We discovered we had mutual friends. Des was friends with Sheila Smaller. Sheila & her husband attended St. Peter's, Erindale where I worked as the Administrative Assistant for over 20 years. Sheila used to bring Jennifer (our priest) and I delicious Indian treats from her kitchen which Jennifer and I loved.
I know you will miss your Dad. But you are right, he lived a full and good life and he will be missed by many who knew him, including us! Our sincere sympathy is extended to you and your family and we will keep you all in our prayers.
Barbara
