Obituary of Mariangela Suriani
Suriani, Mariangela (Cianciosi)
February 2, 1937 – April 9, 2021
Our beloved and beautiful Mother, Grandmother, and Angel was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on April 9, 2021. She passed away peacefully in her 84th year surrounded by the love of her family.
Beloved wife of the late Benito (1991), Predeceased by her Sister Teresa and brother-in-law Angelo Cianciosi (Furci, Chieti). Loving Mother of Bernie (Dora), Brigitte, Tiziana (Frank) Marcellitti, Nick (Amy), Angelo (Kelley), Nada (Boris) Radmilovic, and Benito Jr. (Benny). Nonna will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Maria, Kayla (Michael), Emily, Cody (Sofia), Christian, Wolfgang, Luca, Justin, Nicky, Stephanie (Marko), Harley (Josh), and Andrew (Mikayla), and her Great-Grandchildren Londyn and Reign. Survived by her Dear Brother Domenico Cianciosi (Margherita), and loving Zia to many nieces and nephews in Hamilton and around the world.
Born in 1937 in the small town of Furci, Chieti, in Abruzzo Italy, she spent her early years enjoying the Italian Country Side and learning the art of crocheting while becoming a seamstress, which came in handy as she grew her family of 7 children. She married Benito in March of 1962, travelled to France, where they began their family, Switzerland, where their second child was born and then to Canada in April of 1966. From 1966 to 1980 the family grew by 5 more children and her time became occupied by being the most caring, nurturing, and kindest Mother and Grandmother. She knew what life was about, no one left her house with an empty belly, without getting a hug, and without hearing her say I Love you. She loved to bake cookies and was the kindest person, making friends wherever she went and with whomever she met. The sacrifices she made, the lessons she taught, the memories she created, and the Love she gave will never be forgotten, she truly was an Angel.
Mom,
You held our hands as we entered this world. You taught us right from wrong, good from bad, how to care, and how to thank. You helped us choose which path to take and which bridge to cross, which river to swim and which mountain to climb. Our Mother, our friend, our Angel. We Love you, we thank you, we are heartbroken, we will miss you.
