Obituary of Lois Jean Journeay

(nee Haughton) - Our dear mother sadly passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 in her 83rd year. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Stoney Creek. Lois has been called home to be with her Lord.  Predeceased by her parents Ken and Jean, her loving husband Gordon and her siblings: Doris, Linda, Bernadine, Donna, Kenny, Ruthie and Raymond. Dear mother of Jim and his wife Patricia, Gordie and his wife Mandy. Loving Grammie to Jimmy, Jesse, Gage (Ziggy), and Tyler, and Great-Grammie to Jacob and Joshua. Also remembered by her sister Debbie and many nieces and nephews. Survived by her companion of 18 years Larry. Lois was an active member of the Stoney Creek Alliance Church and proud Deaconess for many years. Lois loved to sing, dance and most of all spend time with her family. Family and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday, February 17, 2023 between 11:00 a.m. and  1:00 p.m. Funeral Service to commence thereafter. Interment Mountview Gardens.
