Rest in peace Grandpa Joe You suffered through second world war, escaped communist Yugoslavia to Austria with your young beautiful wife and your boy and came by boat with nothing much to Halifax Canada choosing a peaceful country to start a new life not afraid of work. You did farm work and factory work together with your siblings. You made a home and settled in Hamilton Ontario and worked hard labour for nearly forty years. Together with your wife Veronica you bought a house and raised and educated four good kids who now have families of their own. All your life you were a proud and dedicated church member of the Slovenian community. You retired surrounded by love with kids grandkids and great grandkids and loved playing cards and watching the wrestling matches. Rest it peace and be proud Grandpa Joe. You left a tribe of good Tompas behind in Canada. You made it! Our deep condolences to all family members! With Love Elsa Altin Erik and Grandma Resmija.
