I met Angelo as a young University student at McMaster when he set up at a card show on campus. He rekindled my interest in old hockey cards. Over the years I visited his home, store, and saw him at shows. His passion was contagious, and my time spent with him was educational and fun. As my collecting matured I was even able to show him a couple of things he had never seen! My condolences to the family. Angelo you will be missed, and thank you for all the nice memories!

My deepest sympathy to your family with regards to your loss! My name is Cheryl Ninham and Jeff Ninham was my husband (he passed Aug. 2/23). My husband had the privilege to play hockey with your Dad as his coach! He had the utmost respect for your Dad and he spoke of him often. I am sure that Jeff was there to greet your father when the angels brought him to heaven! I hope you find peace with this passing of your Dad and know that he was loved by many, one of which was Jeff Ninham! May he rest in peace!

I was Angelo’s PSW at Ridgeview for almost a year now. Angelo always had a smile on his face anytime I saw him. He knew how to make me laugh with his little comments or jokes. I got close to him over time. He told me all about his love for the Toronto Maple Leafs and collecting cards. When the Leafs played I made sure to put it on his TV. He talked so highly of his brother Lino and his son Jason. Angelo told me about his house he lived in before Ridgeview on Gibson Ave. Anytime he would not eat his dinner I would jokingly tell him if he didn’t eat Jason would fire me and I would be homeless on Gibson Ave. He would say “Jason doesn’t know you” but it made him eat all his dinner. One day he wanted a snack and I asked him what he wanted and Angelo said with a serious face he wanted “Boston Brown Pork & Beans” he even told me how to cook them. I then told him I couldn’t get him the beans but I could get him a bag of chips. Then almost every day after that he would always ask me for a bag of chips so much to the point I had to hide them behind his clothes in the closet because he would sneak in and eat the whole bag. Angelo will truly be missed and Ridgeview will not be the same without him.
Rest in Paradise to Hamilton’s #1 Card Collector and Toronto Maple Leafs biggest fan.

I used to drive up from Buffalo for 20+ years to the Toronto show and made it a point to stop and visit with Ang at the show, and in the later years on the way up or back and trade or just chat with him. We were both “paisans”! He probably had one of the greatest collections ever assembled with many unique items. May he rest in peace. Feel free to contact me with any questions or advice. Jason and Family. I was very sad to hear of the passing of my friend Ange. A great man who truly loved his family and would go out of his way to help out. We shared many visits and discussions over coffee about life, sports and collecting, and occasionally some of a game on tv. He will be greatly missed. God Bless.
