ILLMAN, James Franklin (Jim)
Peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital on Thursday, August 16, 2012, in his 74th year. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor. Loved father of Tim (Tricia) of Stoney Creek, and Graeme (Karen) of Coquitlam, B.C. Loving grandfather of Caitlin, Joel, Charis, Erin, Hannah and Connor. Loved brother of Paul (Evelyn), David (Doris), Joan Mattie, Charles (Judy), Beth Smuck (Gerry), Lois Fitzgerald (Jim), and Keith (Cathy). He will also be missed by Ruth Ann Wells Morton, family of Roswell, Georgia and brother-in-law Kenneth Wilson of Toronto. Jim served in many capacities with Faith Mission Men in Hamilton and as a member of the board of The Faith Mission in Canada. He also served on the board of Interserve Canada for many years and supported numerous other Christian ministries and missions. He was a faithful member of Cheyne Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder and member of the Board of Managers. He retired after 35 years with the Hamilton Board of Education where he worked as a teacher and then as a Principal. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, August 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Cheyne Presbyterian Church, King Street West at First St. S., Stoney Creek on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 1 p.m. Interment Mountview Gardens.
