We were sad to hear of the passing of Aunt Ruth. I have MANY fond memories of you Aunt Ruth. One memory that stands out is when I got a job with the Parks Department for the town of Stoney Creek. Part of my duties included cutting the grass in the park right behind your house. Whenever you saw me out behind the fence you would Run out there with something to drink for me and quite often a "little" treat for me.
Since I moved to Edmonton many years ago Aunt Ruth would always send us cards and wait patiently for our Christmas news letter to arrive and she once told me "I hope you never stop sending those letters". I took the hint and never did.
Aunt Ruth, rest in peace and say hi to Uncle for us. May God be with your family now at this difficult time.

Our deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother, Ruth.
We remember her as a kind and wonderful neighbour and friend to us. We rented the house next door when we were in our early twenties.
Jim and I often reminisce about our younger years and how lucky we were to have such lovely neighbours.

"My Foster Grams" : She told me once that she always thought of me as one of her granddaughters. I always treasured that as I do not remember my own grandparents. I will miss "my Grams" dearly, but glad she is with "my Gramps". X0

I am so happy to have been able to have my Grandparents for the number of years that I have. To me, this is something so special as not everyone is so lucky to have this great honour. People would say to me always "wow, you still have Granparents?" & I would proudly say "yes I do!!" We had so many great years with Grams J, our "Queen Bee" who always ran the show for all family functions, making sure everything was just so. And when she gave you a job to do, you did it! Gramps always knew who was boss even though he towered over her in height, she was still the boss! Such a sweet couple they made & an excellent example to all of us of how a happily married couple lives. Grams always remembered every birthday, new job, new home, any event & Grams was sending you a card to congratulate you...for this she was famously loved. I will cherish all memories of my Grams J. Such a sweet & loving soul, who I hope is now back with Gramps & they are smiling happily together, once again. Thank you for being you Grams and also for giving me the best Mom in the world. Love you so much & will miss you dearly. Love forever & always, Sheri xoxo
Give Gramps a hug for me :)
